Thank you for buying The Couch Guard! We designed The Couch Guard to be incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, so follow these easy steps & enjoy your dog-free furniture!

1) — Once you open the package, you’ll see that there are 2 to 6 rectangular sheets (depending on what you ordered), each with rows of raised paw print shapes. When you place The Couch Guards on your sofa or other furniture, it’s the paw prints that act as a visual deterrent to keep your pet off the furniture, and if they do jump up, the paw prints are uncomfortable, so pups won’t want to hang around. We designed The Couch Guard with rounded edges, so it won’t hurt your pet but will be very uncomfortable to sit on.

2) — The Couch Guards can be laid out side-by-side, or connected by overlaying & interlocking the paw prints, which is what we recommend to make one connected Couch Guard that your pet won’t easily be able to move aside. It’s a good idea to change up the configuration every so often to keep your pet guessing!

3) — When not in use, The Couch Guard sheets can be quickly and easily stacked on top of one another and stored under the sofa, under a table, on a shelf, in a closet, or wherever else you want to put it.

4) — If you need to wash your Couch Guard sheets for any reason, simply soak in warm soapy water & towel or air dry. We haven’t tested them in the dishwasher yet, so best not to try that.
